MaddenMojo Tournament — Step-by-Step Rules
Step 1: Go Live on Twitch
- Start your Twitch live stream before anything else.
- The live stream is used to verify compliance with all game settings and match activity.
- Title your stream clearly (e.g., “MaddenMojo Tournament – [YourGamertag] vs [OpponentGamertag]”).
- Ensure Twitch VOD (Video on Demand) saving is enabled so your full game is automatically recorded.
Step 2: Pre-Match Setup
- Confirm the following Game Settings:
- Fatigue: On
- Injuries: On
- Accelerated Clock: Enabled
- Quarter Length: 5 Minutes
- Game Mode: Head-to-Head (Competitive)
- Even Teams: Off
- Ensure you have a stable internet connection to prevent interruptions or lag.
- Double-check your audio, visuals, and camera (if used) are functioning properly before sending the invite.
Step 3: Send and Accept Match Invites
- After going live, send a Friend Request to your opponent via EA Connect Gamertag (crossplay enabled).
- Once accepted, send the Match Invite through EA Connect.
- The Home Team (or player sending the invite) must ready up first within 15 minutes of the scheduled event time.
- When both players are ready, begin the match.
Step 4: During the Match
- Maintain your Twitch live stream for the full duration of the game.
- Network interruptions:
- If one player’s stream is less stable or disconnects more often, that player forfeits the match.
- No quitting:
- Quitting mid-game is an automatic forfeit, which counts worse than a loss on the leaderboard.
- Skunk Rule:
- Activates when a player leads by 21 points.
- If the trailing player receives the ball and fails to score (any turnover or change of possession), the game ends immediately as a skunk win.
- Skunk wins count higher than regular wins on the leaderboard.
Step 5: End of Match
- When the game ends, stop your Twitch live stream — this separates each match into its own recording.
- Copy the Twitch VOD link for your match.
- You have 10 minutes to submit your final score through the official reporting form.
Step 6: Score Reporting
- Submit your Final Score Report within 10 minutes after the match.
- Include the following:
- Final Score
- Twitch VOD Link
- Home or Away designation
- Failure to report within 10 minutes results in a default winner assigned by the platform.
Step 7: Leaderboard & Records
- Wins, losses, home/away records, forfeits, and Twitch streams are reviewed and updated daily.
- Skunk wins and forfeits have a greater impact on rankings than standard results.
